FAQ
LP-100 When playing MKV files via USB, the problem of ‘format not supported’ or only audio but no picture occurs:
1. Reason:   Video encoding is not supported, MKV is only a container format, the key problem is that its encapsulated video encoding (such as H.265/HEVC, VP9) or audio encoding (such as DTS-HD, TrueHD) beyond the player's decoding capabilities.
LP-100 Blu-ray player may only support H.264, and will black screen but play audio when encountering H.265 (because the audio encoding is a basic format such as AAC).

2. The solution:

You can first try to rename the file extension: change .mkv to .avi or .mp4 may bypass the restriction (but need the encoding itself to be compatible)

If you still can't read it, please refer to the following operation:

1. Check the video encoding information
Use a tool (e.g. MediaInfo) to check the detailed encoding of the MKV:
Video encoding: H.264, ASF, MPG, AVI, 3GP, DAT, MKV, MOV, TS, OGM, TP, MP4 and WMV
Audio encoding: WAV, MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC, APE
Check whether these encodings are supported against the device manual.

2. Convert video formats
Recommended tools: HandBrake, FFmpeg, ShanaEncoder.
Suggested conversion settings:
Video encoding: H.264 (AVC) → Widest compatibility.
Audio encoding: AAC → common to all devices.
Resolution: 1080p (if the original film is 4K).

Example:
Format: MP4
Video: H.264, 1080p, 30fps, Constant Quality (RF 20-22)
Audio: AAC, 192kbps, Stereo
